Pat Phelan came into recruiting after spending many years in corporate America, working as a finance guy in marketing.
He eventually decided to go off on his own and over the next few years started two businesses in restaurant supply, the main one being a millwork and furniture business that supplied goods to businesses across the hospitality industry.
In 2015 he began looking for a way to expand his services and became infatuated with the business model for recruiting. He loved that there were so few start up costs, that you could do it from anywhere, and that it paid really well. All that was necessary was to be great on the phone.
To get started, Pat decided to buy a franchise, seeing that as a great way to learn about the industry. He started recruiting within the hospitality management space and the business slowly and steadily grew. After a short while he went looking for an eager and motivated go-getter to help him build the business...and Chris Wunder appeared.
Chris had had early dreams of being a stockbroker and then, while trying to pay for his college education, he worked at NBC Sports Network, quickly ascending the ranks and becoming the youngest technical manager in NBC history.
